Why Dubai for a golf weekend?

A short trip that still feels like a proper golf holiday

The reason Dubai works so well for two or three days is compression: the golf, the hotels, the restaurants and the beach are all within the same handful of districts. You spend your weekend playing and enjoying the city rather than travelling between them.

Serious golf, short flight

Dubai has a dense cluster of well-maintained championship and resort courses within a short drive of each other, so two or three different rounds in a weekend is genuinely realistic — not a logistical project.

Golf and a city break in one

You are never far from the rest of the city. Play in the morning, be at a restaurant, a rooftop or the beach in the afternoon without changing hotels or crossing a country.

The restaurant scene

From beachfront seafood to steakhouses, Levantine grills and chef-led tasting menus, Dubai's dining scene carries an evening as well as the golf carries the day.

Beach clubs and pool days

A beach club afternoon between rounds is one of the easiest ways to make a 48-hour trip feel like a proper holiday.

Rooftops and nightlife

Sunset drinks with a skyline view, dinner clubs that turn into a night out, and late venues if the group wants them — all within the same few districts.

Hotels that suit golf groups

Marina, Downtown, Palm Jumeirah, Business Bay — different areas suit different trips. Choosing the right base makes the weekend flow.

Plenty to do away from golf

Desert drives, yacht afternoons, shopping, sightseeing. Useful when not everyone in the group plays.

Everything in one weather window

From roughly October to April the climate suits morning golf and outdoor evenings on the same day, which is exactly what a short trip needs.

Golf Courses for Your Dubai Weekend

A few of the courses golfers most often ask us about. These are editorial examples only — PalmFairways is independent and has no partnership with the clubs listed here.

Emirates Golf Club

Home of the Majlis course and a central part of Dubai's golf history. A classic first choice if you want the round everyone back home recognises.

Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club

Waterfront golf beside the creek and marina, with the club's distinctive sail-shaped architecture. A very Dubai setting for a weekend round.

Jumeirah Golf Estates

Home to the Earth and Fire courses and a championship-golf environment. Suited to golfers who want the biggest round of the weekend.

Dubai Hills Golf Club

A modern, expansive course close to major parts of the city — practical if you want golf without a long transfer from Downtown.

Weekend FAQ

Golf weekend in Dubai — your questions

How many rounds can I play during a golf weekend in Dubai?

Most visitors comfortably fit two rounds into a Friday-to-Sunday weekend, and three is possible if you take early tee times and stay close to the courses. It depends on your arrival time, the group's pace and how much of Dubai you also want to see.

Is Dubai good for a golf weekend?

It suits short trips particularly well: several quality courses within a short drive of each other, hotels and restaurants nearby, and a climate that supports morning golf and outdoor evenings in the same day during the cooler months.

Which Dubai golf courses should I play?

That depends on your handicap, budget, hotel location and what kind of round you want. Tell us those four things and we'll suggest a shortlist rather than guessing for you.

Can PalmFairways help book my tee times?

We can assist with tee-time enquiries and reservation requests. Availability, pricing and terms are always set by the golf course itself.

Can you plan restaurants around our golf?

Yes. We'll suggest restaurants that fit your tee times, hotel area and the type of evening you want, and help with reservation requests.

Can you help us plan nightlife?

Yes. Rooftops, dinner clubs or later venues — tell us the atmosphere the group is after and we'll suggest options that fit the weekend.

Can we add a caddy?

Yes, subject to availability at the course you're playing. See our Book a Caddy page for how it works.

Can you arrange transportation to the golf course?

Optional paid private transfers can be arranged, including hotel-to-golf-to-hotel runs and premium vehicles, subject to availability.

Can you plan a golf weekend for a group?

Yes — groups are where the concierge saves the most time, because tee times, transport, dinner tables and preferences all need to line up.

Is the PalmFairways Golf Concierge really free?

The standard concierge planning service is free. You pay golf courses, restaurants and venues directly at their normal prices. PalmFairways does not add a planning fee for the standard service.
